This year I will Conquer the mountain!
Welcome to Western Hunt Fest
At Western Hunt Fest, the kids portion isn’t just something we “offer” — it’s the heart of what we do.

WHF Kids was created to give the next generation real, hands-on hunting skills in a safe, encouraging environment. From archery lessons and elk calling to pack-out challenges, shot placement education, and conservation talks, kids aren’t just watching… they’re doing. They learn what it truly means to respect wildlife, work hard, and earn their success.

We believe hunting is more than filling a tag — it’s discipline, preparation, teamwork, and stewardship of the land. That’s why every WHF Kids event focuses on building confidence, character, and outdoor knowledge that lasts a lifetime.

Whether your child is brand new to hunting or already passionate about the outdoors, WHF Kids is a place where they can grow, learn from experienced mentors, and have a blast doing it.

This is where future hunters — and future conservation leaders — are made.

What is Western Hunt Fest?
Western Hunt Fest (WHF) is a hands-on hunting event built for everyone — kids, families, first-time hunters, and seasoned die-hards alike.
WHF is designed to be fun, educational, and challenging, with experiences that allow people to try, learn, and grow together. Families and new hunters can enjoy fun 3D archery courses with no pressure and no scorekeeping — just shoot, learn, and have a great time. These courses are perfect for kids, beginners, and anyone who wants to enjoy archery in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
For those looking for more challenge, WHF also offers skill-based competitions and real-world hunting scenarios. Experienced hunters can test themselves through archery and rifle competitions, pack-out simulations, elk calling contests, and pressure-based courses designed to sharpen decision-making and execution.
Camping is available right at the event, allowing participants and families to stay close to the action so they never have to miss a moment. From early-morning courses to evening gatherings, WHF is built as a full weekend experience.
New for New Mexico, WHF will feature a rifle competition exclusive to the NM event and will proudly team up with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation for a conservation banquet, bringing the community together to support wildlife, habitat, and the future of hunting.
At its core, Western Hunt Fest is about fun, education, conservation, and community. It’s a place where kids build confidence, families create memories, new hunters take their first steps, and experienced hunters stay sharp — all while sharing respect for wildlife and the hunting lifestyle.
WHF isn’t just an event. It’s where the next generation learns — and where the hunting community comes together.
